THE CHALLENGE: Girls Who Code is on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.
United Technologies is one of GWC's leading corporate sponsors and one of the biggest global employers of STEM graduates.
So when the two organizations launched the first GWC club in India, where only 7% of the engineering and technology workforce is female, they wanted to celebrate the graduation of the first class of students.

THE SOLUTION: I had the privilege of leading the creative development of this all-important campaign, as well as be onsite in Bangalore, India along with leaders from UTC and GWC to document this historic occasion. The campaign launched with bespoke social content including photos, a heart-warming films, interviews and content from educators and students.
But UTC's commitment to supporting women in STEM goes far beyond student outreach. Some of the company's most prominent engineers and technologists in India are women.
So we wanted to share their knowledge, passion and insights with the next generation.
To do so, I sat down with a series of female leaders and interviewed them about the challenges and triumphs they've seen in their careers—and the advice they wish to pass on to those that come next.
